Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide personal care, selected treatment procedures, and light household tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in clients' homes in the Boynton Beach area. Schedule: Monday–Friday; Territory covers West Palm Beach to Boca Raton, with willingness to cover the full span.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of competency testing for HHA.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Valid CPR.
• CNA or HHA with 75 hours certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, and health monitoring.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making and cleaning.
• Plan, shop for, prepare and serve meals; clean up after meals.
• Communicate professionally with clients, family members, and Recover Health staff.
• Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with self-administration of medications with proper training.
• Document services and changes in client condition per policy.
• Maintain clinical records per state and federal regulations.

Position Overview

The Home Health Aide (HHA) is an individual who provides personal care, selected treatment procedures, minimal household tasks and occasional meal preparation under the advisory of a Registered Nurse for individuals with special needs in their homes. A Home Health Aide is a caring and compassionate person who has the maturity to assume the responsibilities that this position demands, someone with genuine concern for the sick or otherwise disabled, the ability to follow written and oral directions, as well as being able to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Territory: West Palm Beach, Boca Raton - Must be willing to cover from West Palm Bch to Boca Raton

Essential Job Functions

• Perform personal care tasks including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
• Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
• Plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve meals, and clean up
• Communicate verbally with clients, client family members, and Recover Health staff in a professional manner
• Ensure client safety while maintaining a safe environment
• Remind and assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
• Encourage self-help activities
• Report and Document services provided and changes in client's condition or family situation to the office
• Maintain clinical record documentation according to Recover Health policy and procedures as well as state and federal regulations

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older with High school degree/GED
• Completion of the companies competency testing for HHA
• Valid Drivers license
• Acceptable MVR
• Valid CPR
• CNA or HHA with 75 hours on certificate

Preferred

• Minimum of one-year Home Health Care experience or LTC experience a plus
