Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide in-home care with compassion across Macoupin County and surrounding areas. The role offers pay ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, plus a $400 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling.

We provide mileage reimbursement, paid orientation, PTO, and health, dental, and vision insurance. Training and career growth opportunities are available to enhance your caregiving skills and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Own a vehicle with current insurance.
• Strong ethics and compassionate approach.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Home Health Aide - HHA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
