Hireology invites applications for an In-Home Caregiver to support patients in their homes or care facilities in Defiance, Ohio. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, adherence to safety standards, and flexible scheduling to accommodate client needs.

The caregiver will assist with medications, mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and coordination with healthcare professionals. Strong communication and endurance are essential, with a high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and prepare meals.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
