Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a part-time Home Health Aide (CNA) in North Carolina. You will provide compassionate in-home care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and support patients to heal where they feel most comfortable.

Competitive pay $15.00–$21.00 per hour, flexible days, and benefits including medical plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and retirement options. Certification required; prior CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, complete refresher training.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assist with getting in and out of bed, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepare and provide meals and/or assist with meals.
• Performs light homemaking and other environmental services.
• Observe, report, and document changes in patient status.
• Follow care center procedures regarding infection prevention and control.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as instructed per nurse or therapist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes emergency situations and implements appropriate emergency procedures per care center policy.
• Follows care center procedures regarding infection prevention and control, handling of hazardous waste and safety measures.
• Follows specific written instructions for personal care in accordance with the plan of care.
• Assists patient with prescribed exercises as instructed per nurse or therapist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years. If it has been more than two years, you must complete another training and competency program before providing services.
• Must be able to successfully pass the competency program of the care center.
• Current CPR certification.
