Job summary

Right at Home North Jacksonville is seeking caring caregivers to provide in-home support for seniors and vulnerable adults in their own homes. You will offer companionship, assist with daily living tasks, and help clients maintain independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include brightening clients' days through conversation and activities, helping with bathing, dressing and grooming when trained, and reporting changes to care managers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and hobbies

• Assist with daily living tasks, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care (as needed)

• Help clients maintain their independence by assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming (if trained and certified)

• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to care managers

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to our organization's safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

• Pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or licenses

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, and walking

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings

• BLS/CPR Cert.

• Alzheimers Cert. (Can be accomplished through Elderaffairs.org)

• HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens Cert.

Work Environment:

• Provide care in clients' homes, with occasional support and supervision from our office staff

• Work independently, with regular check-ins and support from our care management team
