Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking Certified Caregivers (HHA or CNA) to provide one-on-one care to clients across the North Shore, including Gloucester and Ipswich. You will work flexibly with a focus on compassionate, personalized support in clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• HHA or CNA certification required (Job Requirements).
• 1+ year of caregiving experience.
• Proof of pre-employment physical within 12 months.
• Proof of negative TB test within 12 months (chest X-ray valid 5 years).
• CPR certification.
• Driver's license & reliable vehicle.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• English as spoken and written language.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, bathroom, eating, etc.) in patients' rooms or apartments.
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical and emotional condition.
• Maintain accurate records and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with household chores and light housekeeping.
• Follow nursing protocols and procedures.

Job Requirements

Schedule

Varies with flexibility. Shift options are offered in 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12 hour increments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine activities of daily living (including bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, eating, drinking, etc.) in patients' rooms or apartments
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical and emotional condition (e.g., changes in appetite, pain, vomiting)
• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in patients' condition or family members' status to the RN
• Assist with household chores and light housekeeping when needed
• Comply with nursing protocols and procedures
