Job summary

Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate CNA/HHA to serve patients and families in Ottawa and surrounding communities. You will assist with physical and emotional comfort per the patient’s plan of care and work under supervision of clinical staff.

The role requires maintaining patient confidentiality, being a team player, and upholding the hospice philosophy. Prior hospice/home health/geriatric experience is preferred but not required for right candidate; background checks and drug

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a CNA/HHA.
• One year hospice/home health/geriatric experience preferred.

• Ability to pass background checks.

• Previous experience in hospice, home health, or geriatrics preferred

• Provides support services under the supervision of our clinical supervisors
• Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Certified by the state of where services are being provided as a Certified NursingAssistant/Home Health Aide.
• Minimum of one year of experience in hospice, home health or geriatric care preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
• Must be of high integrity including maintenance of confidential information including all patient records
• Works as a team player, following directions and adhering to defined care plans
• Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
• Can successfully pass background checks
• Can successfully pass background checks & drug screen
