Job summary

Lincare Home Health LLC is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one care in patient homes in the Columbus area. You will follow customized care plans, foster meaningful relationships with patients, and document care activities. Strong communication skills are essential.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and reliable transportation to travel across Columbus and surrounding areas. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of prior professional experience preferred.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR certification required.
• Willingness to travel across Columbus and greater Columbus areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Remind patients to take their medications
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities

You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.
