Job summary

Right at Home Greater Orlando, FL is seeking Skilled Caregivers and Home Health Aides to join a dynamic in-home care team. Immediate part-time positions available. You can make a difference by helping people stay in the comfort of their homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments, under the guidance of a Right at Home nurse. English proficiency and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
• High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting) and transfers.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with eating, meal preparation according to instructions.
• Assist with dressing and personal care tasks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry; run errands as needed.
• Accompany patients to appointments and manage medication reminders as taught by a nurse.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Qualifications and Skills:
