Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG in Alabama seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support dialysis services under RN supervision, including home dialysis training setup and clinic duties. You will collect vitals, assist with prescribed therapies, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment.

Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CMS or state PCT certification, and CPR certification; two years of related patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Must have a valid PCT national certification or CMS state-specific certification.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training as required.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces HHD/PD training and supports home therapies under supervision where applicable.
• Identifies patients, obtains vital signs, weights, and gathers information for intake forms.
• Maintains communication and collaboration with HT RN, staff, providers, and team members.
• Obtains treatment records, reviews data, and reports missing or abnormal data.
• Disinfects dialysis equipment and prepares treatment rooms between patient visits.
• Assists with scheduling, patient registration, and connected health usage.
• Collects documentation for patient admission and maintains electronic/hard-copy charts.
