Job summary

Slumberland Furniture is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to join our delivery team. Starting pay is $18-$19 per hour, with Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm shifts.

You will lead the delivery team, inspect, load, deliver, and set-up merchandise for customers in a safe, accurate manner. The role requires a positive, reliable person who enjoys meeting new people, can work independently, and can pass DOT, background, and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Able to work independently as a self-starter and as part of a team.
• Reliable with good work ethic.
• Ability to provide direction and maintain accurate records.
• Flexible to work throughout the week, day-shift.
• Able to pass DOT, background check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Delivers merchandise safely and efficiently.
• Greets customers, performs a pre-inspection, sets up merchandise, verifies delivery accuracy.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance and keeps delivery vehicles clean and organized for a professional appearance.
• Ensures proper handling, operation and maintenance of trucks and equipment to prevent injuries or damage.
