Job summary

Alltown Bus Service in Skokie, IL is hiring School Bus Drivers on a flexible part-time schedule. You’ll safely transport students, follow routes, and return home each day, with paid CDL training for qualified applicants.

Earn between $25 and $35 per hour based on experience; experience is valued, and more hours may be available as routes require. You don’t need a CDL to start—training is provided.

Qualifications

• A valid drivers license and a safe driving record are required.
• Qualified applicants must meet applicable CDL, physical, background checks, drug screening, and other employment requirements.
• CDL experience is preferred but not required; paid CDL training is available for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.
• Follow established routes and schedules.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Conduct required child safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and properly functioning school bus.
• Follow applicable transportation and safety requirements.
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, teachers, school administrators, and fellow employees.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment on the bus.
• Report vehicle or safety concerns promptly.
• Represent Alltown Bus Service with professionalism, courtesy, and pride.
