Job summary
New Pig Manufacturing is seeking a qualified Class A CDL driver to split a full-time role between driving short hauls and supporting our production team in Juniata (Altoona). The position offers standard hours 7am-3pm with overtime, and opportunities to work with our production crew.
The role requires a CDL-A, the ability to pass DOT tests, and safe handling of trailers using powered industrial equipment. You will also support lean manufacturing and quality initiatives within the plant.
Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
- Meet DOT Regulations
- Ability to load/unload trailers with PIT equipment
- Safety and quality compliance
- Basic math and measurement skills
Responsibilities
- Operate jockey trucks to move trailers within plant and to holding lots
- Work 5 days per week with overtime as needed
- Follow FMCSA/DOT regulations
- Load/unload trailers using power industrial trucks
- Operate production equipment and perform changeovers
- Record production quantities into ERP
- Participate in process improvement and lean training
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards
