Job summary

Bunzl plc in North Carolina is hiring a Class A CDL driver. You will drive a tractor-trailer, perform inspections, and deliver goods to customer locations, locally and on long-distance routes with drop-and-hook.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and Hazmat Endorsement.
• Clean driving record in line with fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload as needed.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain a medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are properly secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management immediately.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers.
