Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking reliable CDL A drivers for home daily, local routes to Fort Wayne GM plant. This is a union position with Teamsters Local 414 and a strong benefits package.

Earn $26.00 per hour plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with flexible start times and generous pay increases after milestones. We offer Blue Cross/Blue Shield coverage, paid holidays and a 401K match in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL with verified driving history and required schooling.
• 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience or CDL school completion.
• Clean driving record with no recent DUI/OWI and limited moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A truck for local, dedicated routes.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Secure and document freight; maintain logs and records.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers; report issues promptly.
• Maintain schedules and safe driving practices.
