Job summary

Roberts Resorts & Communities is seeking a self-driven Home Consultant to guide prospective residents through the home buying process in our Austin community. You will leverage sales expertise to close deals, manage applications and credit checks, and provide personalized guidance to families seeking dream homes.

You will conduct tours, promote land-lease lifestyle benefits, and collaborate with the Home Center Manager to maximize sales while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in housing or real estate.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective residents through the home buying process with personalized support.
  • Manage resident applications, credit checks, and document collection.
  • Ensure smooth paperwork flow from sales to underwriting and to staff.
  • Conduct community tours highlighting model homes and community benefits.
  • Develop and execute follow-up processes using the CRM to generate leads and referrals.

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a gritty, self-driven sales marketer who can build their own brand, consistently create engaging social content to drive leads, and has the hustle and resourcefulness to turn interest into sales—not just post polished listings.

As a Home Consultant at our vibrant community, you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective residents through the home buying process. Utilizing your expertise in sales, you will provide personalized guidance and support, helping individuals and families find their dream homes. With a passion for customer service and a dedication to community building, you will contribute to creating an exceptional living experience for our residents.

Performance Objectives:

  • Handle customers from initial visit through sales process and closing with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate expertise in housing products and the surrounding housing market.
  • Manage resident applications, credit checks, and gather documents for submittal.
  • Ensure seamless paperwork flow from sales to underwriting, corporate office, staff, and customers.
  • Conduct community tours for prospective residents, emphasizing the features and benefits of our model homes.
  • Become an expert on providing the benefits to living in a land lease community
  • Utilize proven four-step selling process and objection-handling techniques.
  • Establish and manage effective customer follow-up program using our CRM.
  • Generate self-generated marketing leads through networking and community promotion.
  • Foster positive relationships with current residents to encourage referrals.
  • Collaborate closely with the home center manager to maximize sales.
  • Promote value of homes and the Roberts Communities lifestyle
  • Implement creative strategies to attract more prospects and drive sales.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction above all else, embodying Roberts Communities Core Values.

Requirements

Key Competencies:

  1. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities.
  2. Sales Expertise: Track record of personal sales success, with at least 2 years of experience.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities.
  4. Organizational Proficiency: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  5. Professional Demeanor: Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
  6. Ability to Sell 10 Houses: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed the target of selling 10 houses per quarter.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, with preferred experience in housing or real estate.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience using CRM software is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly sit, talk, or hear; Frequently use hands.
  • Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and using office equipment.
  • Clear vision and hearing for reviewing documents and communicating effectively.
  • Capability to lift up to 10 pounds.
