Job summary

Village Caregiving in North Vernon, IN is hiring Caregivers for part-time and full-time roles. Earn $14-$19 per hour with daily pay and paid training, benefits including dental and vision insurance, and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include helping clients take medications, assist with mobility and personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and reporting changes to the care team. Requirements: CPR certification, HS diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification.
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties including meal preparation
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
