Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Caregiver/Aide with the Personal Care Services team provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions to enable individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties

Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower; hair care (shampoo, combing, brushing); oral care (denture care); nail care (filing only); skin care (peri care, lotion); transfer from bed to chair and wheelchair; transfer on and off bedpan, commode, and toilet.
Report observations of the client’s condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when business travel is required.
Assist with household tasks essential to clients’ personal care.

Education & Experience

Experience Desired

Six months of experience in home care preferred.
Reliable vehicle and a driver’s license.

Skill Requirements

Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patient needs.
Ability to function in any home situation regardless of patient demographics.
Ability to work independently.
Multi‑tasking, self‑directed, good time‑management, courteous, and common sense.
Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and families, keeping personal matters confidential.
