Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Home Health Aide Certification will be provided by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient well-being by observing physical and mental condition.
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, shopping for food and other household needs; prepare and serve meals.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Educate patients on use of cane or walker and adaptive utensils for daily activities.
• Advise family on lifting, positioning, nutrition, cleanliness, and home care.
• Record patient information in the patient journal and notify nursing supervisor of changes or unusual conditions.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and safety procedures.
