Job summary

AmeriCare Medical, including AmeriStaff Nursing Services, seeks experienced Home Health Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Metro Detroit team. This contingent, visit-based role offers flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful in-home patient care without Medicare OASIS requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (EMR).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Start of Care (SOC) assessments and admissions.
• Complete supervisory visits to ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, review, and coordinate patient care plans.
• Perform skilled nursing visits as needed.
• Provide wound care, including wound vac management.
• Provide tracheostomy (trach) care and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medications, and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and professional nursing standards.
