Job summary

Arizona Valley Home Care at Home is seeking attentive caregivers to assist clients with daily activities, mobility, and health monitoring in a home setting.

You will prepare meals, manage medications, and maintain a safe living environment while offering companionship and memory-care support as needed.

Qualifications

• Current TB test required.
• Arizona caregiver certification required.
• Previous experience in home health or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR and HIPAA essential.
• Familiar with meal preparation, medication administration and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse individuals.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist mobility.
• Compassion and patience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide personal care including assistance with mobility and transferring using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and tidying of the home.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, through patient observation and tailored activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.

Qualifications

• Current TB Test
• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certification
• Previous experience in home health, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients in physical mobility tasks.
• A compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding towards clients’ needs is crucial for success in this role.

Pay

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour, based upon knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. Paid weekly.
