Job summary

Sittercity.com seeks a caring, reliable companion and in-home care helper for an elderly gentleman in Ashburn, VA. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help with transportation to daytime locations and medical appointments.

Responsibilities include meal assistance, medication support as directed, and scheduling flexibility, including occasional weekend hours. Must have a valid driver’s license and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• 9:00 AM: Pick up the gentleman and take him to daytime location/appointments.
• 2:00 PM: Pick up and bring him home.
• 2:00 PM–8:00 PM: Stay with him at home, provide companionship and assistance.
• Assist with meals, preparation, and cleanup; assist with medication routine as directed.
• Provide companionship and help with daily activities; accompany to medical appointments and outings.
• A few weekend hours as needed.

In-Home Care & Transportation Assistance Needed

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and responsible person to provide companionship, in-home care, and transportation assistance for an elderly gentleman. He walks, talks and very mobile.

Schedule & Responsibilities:

• 9:00 AM: Pick him up and take him to his daytime location/appointments
• 2:00 PM: Pick him up and bring him home
• 2:00 PM–8:00 PM: Stay with him at home and provide companionship and assistance
• Assist with preparing/serving his meals and cleaning up afterward
• Assist with his medication routine as directed
• Provide companionship and help with daily activities
• Take him to medical appointments and other necessary outings
• A few hours on weekends as needed

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Dependable, patient, and compassionate
• Comfortable driving and assisting an elderly person
• Senior care experience preferred
• Responsible and attentive when assisting with medications
• Good communication and a positive attitude

Position starts as soon as Monday.
