Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care of Dedham is looking for compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain dignity and comfort for aging or disabled clients under the supervision of an RN and our caring team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous home care experience is a plus but not necessary; kindness and eagerness matter.
• Strong communication and caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) to maintain dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals for healthy, tasty options.
• Medication reminders; training provided.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities to brighten days.
• Show enthusiasm, be eager to learn and provide excellent care.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients.
• Occasional transportation to appointments; miles reimbursed.
• Demonstrate dedication and respect for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
