Advanced Technologies Home Care in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide to assist clients with daily living activities, mobility, and home tasks. You will help with meals, bathing, personal care, meds reminders, and light housekeeping in clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license is required or nonrestrictive.

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparation, and clean–up of meals.
• Giving bed baths or assisting with a shower or tub bath.
• Assist with oral care, such as tooth brushing or denture care.
• Assist with getting in and out of bed to a wheelchair, walker, or chair.
• Assisting with self-administered medications (open bottles, water).
• Light housekeeping.
• Laundering clothes and linens;
• Making beds and changing sheets.
• Shopping for essential items (groceries, cleaning supplies).
• Advance Personal Care - Ostomy Care, catheter care, bowel programs, administer non-injectable meds, insulin setup, vital signs and weights.

Job Purpose: The basic function of a Home Care Aide is to perform tasks such as activities of daily living and household tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning, preparation, and clean–up of meals


• Giving bed baths or assisting with a shower or tub bath


• Assist with oral care, such as tooth brushing or denture care, when the participant is unable.


• Assisting with getting in and out of bed to a wheelchair, walker, or chair when a participant is weight-bearing.


• Assisting the participants with ordinarily self-administered medications (open bottles, get water)


• Light housekeeping


• Laundering clothes and linens;


• Making beds and changing sheets;


• Shopping for essential items (e.g., groceries, cleaning supplies, etc.);


• Advance Personal Care -Assist with Ostomy Care, assist with catheter care, perform bowel programs, administer non-injectable meds, assist with Insulin set-up, and perform vital signs and weights

Skills/Education:

• Must be 18 years of age


• A minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care with either a Skilled Nursing facility or an In-Home Care Agency is preferred.


• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license must be nonrestrictive


• Must also be able to assist the patient with walking through the use of a cane, walker, or gait belt throughout the facility or client’s home.
