Job summary

Right at Home is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to provide personalized in-home care, focusing on comfort, safety, and independence for clients in their own homes.

You will assist with daily activities, meal prep, mobility, and companionship, while maintaining detailed care documentation and collaborating with family and healthcare teams. Flexible scheduling may be required to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in caregiving or related fields preferred.
• Compassionate and patient.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to clients’ changing needs.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if transportation is required).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility challenges by providing assistance with walking, transfers, and exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Companionship: Engage in friendly conversation, companionship, and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
• Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed.
• Monitoring Health Conditions: Observe and report any changes in clients' health conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
