Job summary

Assisted Home Health & Hospice in the Los Angeles area is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide to provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily support to seniors and adults in their homes. You will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Join our team to support clients with mobility, daily activities, and ongoing needs while following individualized care plans. Training is provided, and scheduling is flexible to fit your life.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in home care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Current TB clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Successful completion of Agency orientation and pre-service training.
• Compassionate, reliable, respectful, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and provide assistance with eating when needed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and general household organization.
• Provide medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, errands, and recreational activities.
• Provide companionship, cognitive support, and respite care for clients living with dementia.
• Document services accurately using the Agency’s WellSky system.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan and promptly report changes in condition to the Program Manager or Staffing Coordinator.
• Complete required training and annual continuing education.
