Job summary

Houston Care Services is seeking a Home Care Aide to work with patients in their homes under one-on-one care plans. You will build genuine relationships, maintain patient records, and ensure a healthy environment.

Strong communication is essential, and prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus. The schedule includes Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 4pm to 10pm, providing dedicated evening availability in Florida.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year prior professional experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities including transfers, bathing, and mobility.
• Provide personal care and help with laundry and home cleaning.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report to supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.

You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Schedule

Monday, Friday, Saturday 4pm-10pm

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Give medications and immunizations
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
