Job summary

Village Caregiving is hiring a caregiver in Holman, New Mexico. The role provides non-medical home care, from companionship to light housekeeping and personal care, with a pay range of $15 to $20 per hour.

You will support clients with daily activities, mobility, transportation, and safety, starting immediately. We value compassionate, respectful care, with CPR certification preferred and a willingness to follow health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving preferred but not required.
• CPR certification preferred (American Heart Association).
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and basic cooking with dietary awareness.
• Strong bedside manner, compassionate and respectful.
• Excellent communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support with physical therapy exercises and other activities.
• Assist with shopping and accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report any incidents to nurses, doctors and family.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

We are hiring a caregiver in Holman, New Mexico. $15-$20/hour - start immediately!

We work alongside your loved one as they navigate the aging process. Our caregivers provide basic home care services, supporting clients who need assistance with activities of daily living. Our personal, hands‑on approach can range from companionship care to various non‑medical services, including light housework, hygiene assistance, and transportation.

CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

CAREGIVER REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
