Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is hiring Home Care Aides to provide one-on-one in-home support in San Mateo. Full-time and part-time shifts with reliable hours are available; a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active car insurance are preferred.

You'll deliver daily living assistance, help with bathing and mobility, perform light housekeeping, and monitor well-being with basic vitals. Comprehensive training and supportive supervisors accompany competitive pay and growth

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of paid home-health, hospice, or facility experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication you're comfortable updating digital care logs.
• CPR certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Personalized daily living assistance, including transfers, bathing support, and mobility aid help.
• Create a healthy home environment by changing linens, light laundry, and keeping areas clean.
• Provide medication reminders and record basic vitals or observations.
• Engage clients with mind-body activities like reading aloud or chair exercises.
• Document care notes and share changes with RN or Care Supervisor.
