Job summary

FRESH START-NEW BEGINNINGS Home Care in Erwin, North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide to provide personalized and attentive care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, maintaining records of their care, and building relationships to ensure their mental health and safety. Prior experience in Home Health or Hospice is a plus, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check.
• Current TB/ Willing to get TB testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure safety of clients.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus but is training available.
