Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Livermore is seeking a dependable Home Care Aid Companion - Caregiver to support clients in Livermore, CA and nearby communities. This part-time, field-based role emphasizes independence, comfort, and quality of life for clients at home.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $19–$22, with benefits including flexible schedule, growth opportunities, ongoing training, and per diem benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry or willing to complete registration.
• Minimum of 1 year caregiving experience in home care or related settings; strong communication and care skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; TB test current within 3 years; valid driver license and insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• Provide companionship, conversation, supervision, and emotional support; assist with errands and appointments when allowed.
• Observe and report changes in client condition and document completed care for continuity of service.

DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Registered with the California Home Care Aide Registry or be willing and eligible to complete the registration

At least one year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, or a related setting, a current CPR and First Aid certification, experience supporting clients with dementia, mobility limitations, or personal care needs, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance, strong communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills, and a current TB test (within the past 3 years) are preferred.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A HOME CARE AID COMPANION - CAREGIVER?

This is a part-time, field-based position serving clients throughout Livermore, Tracy, Mountain House, Manteca, Lathrop, and Stockton, CA.

In this part-time role, you'll assist clients of all ages with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry. You'll also provide companionship, conversation, supervision, and emotional support while assisting with errands and appointments when authorized. In addition, you'll observe and report changes in a client's condition and accurately document completed care to help ensure quality service and continuity of support.
