Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a clinician for an Intensive Home-Based Treatment program serving youth with mental health and substance use concerns. Caseloads are low; sessions occur in the home, school, and community. Flexible daytime hours with about two evenings per week; no weekends.

Requires Master’s degree and Ohio licensure; valid driver’s license and auto insurance, plus motor vehicle background checks. Internal interns may be hired prior to full licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Appropriate Ohio licensure is required; independent license is preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required by hospital policy.
• Must pass motor vehicle background inspection and driving qualifications set by Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses and documents client problems, history, mental status, and diagnosis.
• Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner.
• Develops specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives.
• Uses empirically supported interventions aligned with program expectations.
• Coordinates client care with other providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care.
• Completes clinical charting and related paperwork per policy.
• Maintains knowledge of pediatric psychopharmacology and collaborates with the team psychiatrist.
