Job summary

Child & Family Resources is seeking a Family Support Specialist to provide home-based prevention services focused on parent-child relationships and family well-being in Mohave County.

You will conduct home visits, assess family needs, coordinate services with community partners, and use child development education and play techniques. A flexible schedule and bilingual Spanish are preferred; CPR/First Aid and a valid Arizona driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in social work or related behavioral health field preferred or HS diploma with two years of related experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with families and communicate in writing.
• Knowledge of child development and family life skills.
• Experience with at-risk children and families; sensitivity to cultural differences.

Responsibilities

• Conducts home visits in person or virtually to assess family needs and provide case management when necessary.
• Promotes positive parent-child relationships using development curriculum and play techniques.
• Maintains client assessments and documentation per agency and funding requirements.
• Coordinates with community services and participates in supervision and meetings.
