Job summary

Alaska Behavioral Health in Fairbanks is seeking a Clinician I, II, or Senior Licensed Clinician to join our adult outpatient team. You will provide clinical oversight, supervise interns, and deliver evidence-based behavioral health services, including CBT, across the state via telehealth.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) is required.
• AKBH can assist with licensure on site for unlicensed clinicians.
• 7–10 years of clinical experience providing direct psychotherapy.
• At least two years of clinical supervision.
• In Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, or Master’s in social work with LCSW, or Master’s in counseling with LPC, or Master’s in marriage and family therapy with LMFT.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for non-master's staff and supervise graduate interns.
• Make referrals, treatment planning, clinical assessment, and coordinate with community/state agencies; maintain professional records.
• Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in regular individual and group supervision and training opportunities.
• Provide behavioral health services using evidenced-based practices including CBT.
• Provide supervision for bachelor level providers.
• Provide clinical evaluations to determine risk and level of care.
• Provide telehealth behavioral health services statewide using CBT.

About the Clinic

The adult outpatient clinic in Fairbanks is made of a multi-disciplinary team who work together to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare services to adults who experience mental health challenges or life stressors. Our Clinicians treat a wide range of mental health needs, including grief and loss, addictions, relationships, trauma, serious mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and depression) using evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for non-master's staff and engage in supervision of graduate interns as required


• Make referrals, treatment planning and clinical assessment and evaluation services, coordinate mental health services with other community and State Agencies, and engage in professional recordkeeping in accordance with organization standards


• Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement activities to ensure that clinical services are viable and response to the mental health needs of the population served


• Clinicians participate in regular individual and group supervision and are provided with additional training opportunities as part of our professional development plan


• Participate in regular individual and group supervision


• Provide behavioral health services using evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy


• Provide supervision for Bachelor level providers


• Provide clinical evaluations to determine risk and appropriate level of care


• Provide Clinical Supervision for unlicensed providers


• Documenting progress for each service provided and review and update treatment plans as specified


• Provide behavioral health services in the Anchorage area and state-wide via telehealth using evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Qualifications

• You have a degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field


• AKBH can assist with providing licensure on site for Unlicensed Clinicians


• You have a master or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field


• You're a Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW required)


• You have 7-10 years clinical experience providing direct services as a psychotherapist


• You have at least two years providing clinical supervision


• In Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited university and an APA accredited program, or a Master's degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Master's degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or a Master's degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-Time, Exempt


• Unlicensed clinicians are eligible for $10,000 sign on bonus; licensed clinicians are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus and annual incentive opportunities up to 5% of your annual salary
