Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required; non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited.
• English language proficiency: able to speak and write English per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required with CDR.
• Exception for GS-07/GS-09: non-credentialed Dietitians may be appointed full-time temporary up to one year and must obtain RDN credential.
• Foreign education must be evaluated by ACEND and meet its standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutritional care to HBPC and HHCS patients.
• Deliver care in home settings within the CAVHS catchment area (75%+ of visits).
• Drive government vehicles to patient residences and coordinate with HBPC PACT teams (Little Rock, Pine Bluff).
