Job summary

Holly Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our 66-bed facility on a full-time basis. You will support daily food service for residents, coordinate with the kitchen team, and help ensure meals meet dietary requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Experience in food-service, healthcare, long-term-care, or institutional kitchen is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and pushing carts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverages according to menus, recipes, and established procedures.
• Set up meal trays, dining areas, and food service stations.
• Serve meals and snacks while following individual dietary requirements.
• Check meal trays for accuracy, appropriate portions, and special diet instructions.
• Assist with delivering and collecting meal trays.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and food-preparation areas.
• Store food properly and check food temperatures and expiration dates.
• Restock food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, infection‑control, and workplace‑safety procedures.
• Report food‑service concerns, equipment problems, or dietary issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide respectful, friendly, and professional service to residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Food and Nutrition aide is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests, and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. They assist in the cleaning and organization of the kitchen.
