Job summary

Kinwell Health in Federal Way, Washington is hiring a Primary Care Physician for our on-site clinic. You’ll manage a panel of patients, addressing acute and chronic care needs, and work to keep care managed at the primary level with a collaborative care team.

You’ll provide counseling, education, and follow-up planning, collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and pharmacists, and perform minor procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or able to be licensed in Washington by hire date.
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds.
• Unrestricted DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority.
• Ability to be credentialed under Medicare.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Proficient in the EMR, with Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem solving and communication skills.
• Interest in community outreach efforts (PR, ambassadors to community partners) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a panel of patients for a full spectrum primary care clinic, addressing acute and chronic care needs.
• Be curious to keep more care in primary care; solve problems, answer questions, and learn for patients.
• Develop a high functioning care team, aligning work with licensure and community needs.
• Provide counseling and education on health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with Physicians, Specialists, Pharmacists, Nurses and others in person or by video for patient interest.
• Perform minor outpatient procedures per credentialing/privileging policy.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Provide after-hours care as part of the on-call program.
