Training in alternative medicine and techniques is preferred; experience with TMS is a plus. You will evaluate medical and psychosocial conditions, develop treatment plans, monitor outcomes, and coordinate with a care team to ensure safe, high-quality care in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a psychiatric residency or a family medicine/psychiatry residency in an ACGME approved residency program.
  • Current BC/BE in Psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry).
  • Valid state medical license as MD, DO.
  • 2 years’ experience working full-time with child/adult psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates clients by interviewing patient, family, and others; conducting history and physical examinations.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications.
  • Monitors and evaluates treatment results and adjusts plans accordingly.
  • Maintains interdisciplinary treatment by collaborating with primary care physicians, therapists, nurses, and other providers.
  • Ensures quality and safe service by adhering to policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides staff training and discussions on psychosocial and physiological issues related to treatment.
