Job summary

Per Mar Security Services seeks a professional, reliable Security Officer for a public-facing facility in Wisconsin during the holiday season. This temporary role has potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

The assignment runs December 22, 2026 – January 2, 2027 with shifts Tue–Sat, 7:00 PM – 2:00 AM. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to pass licensing, background and drug checks.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience strongly preferred.
• Solid, consistent security work history encouraged.
• Law enforcement, police or military background is a plus.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites.
• Must obtain Wisconsin State Security Officer License; no felonies as per DSPS.
• Pass background check and on-site drug test.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility.
• Conduct indoor/outdoor patrols, including parking areas.
• Monitor guests and surroundings for unusual or potentially unsafe activity.
• Maintain a visible presence when large groups exit and address loitering professionally.
• Conduct bag checks when required.
• Respond to alarms and accompany staff when requested.
• Maintain clear radio communication with management.
• Assist guests with directions or basic requests.
• Remain attentive and avoid unnecessary conversations or distractions.
• Assist with closing procedures and verify all guests have exited.
• Escort closing personnel to their vehicles when required.
• Assist with checking exterior and entrance doors.
• Remain on-site until all guests have left.
• Check in with the closing manager before leaving.

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and alert Security Officer for a public-facing facility. This is a temporary holiday assignment with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior security experience strongly preferred.
• Candidates with a solid, consistent security work history are encouraged to apply.
• Prior law enforcement/police or military experience is a plus.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and conduct indoor/outdoor patrols.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
• MUST have reliable transportation as you will be traveling to multiple sites.
• *Must be able to obtain a State Security Officer License ** No felonies per Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
• Pass background check
