Job summary

Cherry Hill Programs is seeking a District Manager to oversee multiple locations within a designated geographic area as a seasonal team leader. You will manage staffing, scheduling, learning and development, and vendor relations to ensure smooth operations.

You will partner with Regional Manager to align opening dates, hours, events and concerns, while preparing each location for openings through hiring, inventories, equipment setup, training, and reliable banking procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma with 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Proven record managing multiple locations in retail/service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint plus daily internet access.
• Able to lift 10-25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple locations within a geographic area as a seasonal team leader.
• Manage vendor and employee relations; staffing, scheduling, and learning and development.
• Collaborate with Regional Manager to drive alignment for openings, hours, events, and concerns.
• Prepare locations for openings with hiring, inventories, equipment setup/testing, staff scheduling/training and bank deposits.
• Determine district staffing requirements and onboarding standards.
• Recruit and train Local Managers; assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Support Local Managers in upselling, inventory, and staff management.
• Develop district strategies to support initiatives and drive results.
• Maintain vendor relations; partner with mall managers for operations and guest service.
• Conduct site visits, analyze sales, and implement plans for success.
• Participate in weekly calls with Regional Manager.
• Manage timecards and deposits; ensure weekly reporting.
• Ensure season-end breakdown and post-season synopsis.
• Other duties per Employment Agreement.

As District Manager (DM), you will create the magic by overseeing multiple locations within a designated geographic area as a seasonal team leader. This includes being responsible for vendor relations, employee relations, staffing, scheduling and learning and development.

Our District Manager Will Also

• Promote a positive, collaborative environment and maintain our core values and policies
• Communicate and partner with Regional Manager consistently to drive alignment and overall strategy for designated locations; e.g., establish opening dates, hours of operation, special events and concerns/issues
• Prepare each location for a timely opening with completion of hiring, inventories, equipment setup/testing, staff scheduling/staff training and bank deposit procedures
• Determine district-wide staffing requirements and ensure hiring/onboarding standards are being met
• Recruit and train qualified Local Managers for each location, assisting each with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations as needed
• Manage and support each Local Manager and team; help Local Managers apply upselling techniques to meet/surpass sales goals, oversee inventory/supplies, and assist with staff hiring/terminations
• Develop district strategies and implementation plans to support regional and company initiatives to drive business results and achieve operation excellence
• Establish and maintain positive and successful vendor relations with staff at all locations
• Partner with each mall manager to support a seamless, efficient operation with a focus on guest service and profitability
• Conduct site visits, analyze sales activity and reports, and implement plans to drive a successful operation
• Participate in weekly team conference calls with Regional Manager
• Respond to all business calls or emails within a timely manner
• Oversee budgeted staff hours, scheduling, timecards and verify daily bank deposits with Local Managers to ensure accurate weekly reporting on our supportive software
• Ensure scheduled season-end breakdown at each location; securing all equipment and preparing a post-season synopsis
• Other duties required/assigned as detailed in Employment Agreement

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong, independent decisions
• Professional attire and good hygiene are a must
• Available to attend mandatory pre-season training
• Flexibility and willingness to work during “peak” retail hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel including overnights, if required
• Available to work a minimum of 40 hours a week or as needed

Knowledge, Experience & Skill

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma plus 4 years equivalent work experience
• Prior proven success managing multiple locations in the retail/service industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint with daily access to the internet (laptop provided)
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10-25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time
