Job summary

NewSpring Capital is seeking a Vice President to join our Holdings Strategy. You will source, quarterback and negotiate platform investments, mentor a team of investment professionals, and work with operators of our platform companies to drive outcomes.

You will lead deal origination, due diligence, modeling and memorandums, present to the Investment Committee, and collaborate with C-Suite teams on portfolio optimization and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of related private equity experience.
• Proven experience leading transactions with strong analytical capabilities.
• Significant experience in financial modeling, company valuation, and financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic achievement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Originating investment thesis and platform opportunities through leveraging and developing your personal network of operator and intermediary contacts.
• Quarterbacking deal origination and execution including: evaluating and analyzing potential investment opportunities and structures; performing extensive due diligence; creating investment models; generating memorandums and analyses; presenting to the Investment Committee.
• Assist in portfolio management and monitoring with the opportunity to work with C-Suite management teams of existing investments.
• Developing and conducting market and industry research and assessing competitive landscapes, while qualifying investment opportunities.
• Recruiting, mentoring, leading and collaborating with investment professionals at Analyst and Senior Associate levels.
• Assisting with Fundraising and Investor Relations as needed.
• Participating in strategic planning for the Holdings Strategy.

In this capacity, you will play an integral role in continuing to develop the success of the Holdings Strategy broadly, including: sourcing, quarterbacking and negotiating new platform investment opportunities, managing a team of investment professionals, and working with the top-tier operators of our platform companies to drive successful investment outcomes.

Requirements

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Originating investment thesis and platform opportunities through leveraging and developing your personal network of operator and intermediary contacts.
• Quarterbacking deal origination and execution including:
  • Evaluating and analyzing potential investment opportunities and structures
  • Performing extensive due diligence and distilling the key takeaways
  • Creating and overseeing the construction of investment models
  • Generate investment memorandums and supporting analyses
  • Presenting directly to the Investment Committee
• Assist in portfolio management and monitoring with the opportunity to work directly with the C-Suite management teams of existing investments.
• Developing and conducting market and industry research and assessing competitive landscapes, while qualifying investment opportunities.
• Recruiting, mentoring, leading, overseeing and collaborating with investment professionals at the Analyst and (Senior) Associate level.
• Assisting with Fundraising and Investor Relations as needed.
• Participating in strategic planning for the Holdings Strategy.

Qualifications

• [6 – 8] years of related experience (Private equity experience required).
• Proven experience leading transactions over a sustained period with exceptional analytical capabilities.
• Significant experience in financial modeling, company valuation, and financial analysis.
