Maple Hill Farm in Maple Hill, NC is seeking a Herd Tech to support daily production on a hog farm, focusing on animal care and farrowing duties.

Responsibilities

• Animal Care: daily feeding, watering, processing, castrating, and tagging gilts and pigs.
• Animal Movement: safely handle, catch, and load sows and pigs between areas.
• Environment: monitor barn rooms, adjust ventilation, maintain climate for comfort.
• Sanitation and Safety: power-wash walkways, disinfect docks, uphold biosecurity.
• Record Keeping: complete simple data sheets and animal care paperwork on time.
