Job summary

Color Broadcaster role with New Mexico Goatheads broadcasts. You provide analysis and commentary to enhance game coverage, translating action into engaging insights for listeners and viewers.

You will work alongside the Play-by-Play Broadcaster, pregame, intermission, and postgame segments, and participate in guest interviews as needed. Ideal candidates have hockey knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to stay professional on air while researching teams, players, and trends before

Qualifications

• Previous sports broadcasting or media experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hockey rules, systems and terminology.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex game situations clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Provide live analysis and commentary during New Mexico Goatheads broadcasts.
• Break down plays, strategy, and player performance throughout games.
• Work with the Play-by-Play Broadcaster to maintain flow.
• Research teams, players, statistics, trends, and storylines.
• Participate in pregame, intermission, and postgame segments as assigned.
• Conduct interviews with players, coaches, or guests when needed.
• Assist with sponsorship reads and promotional elements.
• Maintain awareness of game action and avoid interrupting play-by-play.
