Job summary

Hexcel is currently seeking a HOBE Mill Operator for our Pottsville, PA location. This role involves processing materials and ensuring quality within the HOBE department.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably six months of experience in manufacturing. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are essential. Additionally, applicants should be able to obtain forklift certification.

Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a HOBE Mill Operator for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.


Responsibilities


  • Process material within the HOBE department.

  • Read and follow written and verbal work instructions.

  • Maintain acceptable productivity rates and accuracy requirements.

  • Setup machine, tools, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality product.

  • Run the expander, belting, and HOBE Mill.

  • Work as a team to complete HOBE trimming, expanding, hand routing, bonding, special process work, trimming of product, and pre-packing.

  • Identify the "L" and the "W" of expanded honeycomb and determine cell count and ribbon direction.

  • Ensure inventory accuracy associated with the product group.

  • Record transactions in the RF Smart system and maintain accurate inventory levels.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.


Qualifications


  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent.

  • Minimum six months experience in manufacturing (preferred).

  • Forklift Certification or ability to obtain.

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

  • Good hand dexterity and eye–hand coordination.

  • Basic computer skills (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint).
