Title: HMS - Postdoctoral Fellow in BCMP, Buratowski Lab

School: Harvard Medical School

Department/Area: Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology

We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Buratowski lab at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The work of the Buratowski lab is focused on the molecular mechanistic understanding of eukaryotic gene expression, with particular interest in the functions and interactions of RNA polymerase II (RNApII) basal transcription factors, the communication between chromatin and the transcription machinery, and mRNA processing enzymes and their interactions with RNApII. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in these or related fields, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab.

To the successful candidate: you will work with Dr. Buratowski to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab’s research focus. In addition to carrying out bench research, you will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment.
