Job summary

rapportintl is expanding its team of qualified interpreters in the Boston, MA area, seeking hard-working, fully bilingual professionals to provide in-person interpretation for local healthcare clients.

Ideal candidates have interpreting experience and certification, HIPAA familiarity, and reliable transportation. A printer and access to a printing/uploading portal are required. This is an independent contractor, PRN role with flexible hours and some weekday availability (M–F 7AM–5PM).

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in required languages.
• Experience and certification in interpretation is required.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• In-person interpreters only; transportation to local appointments is required.
• Access to a printer and ability to print/upload vouchers.
• Experience with video calls when needed.
• Background checks are required.
• Availability M-F 7AM–5PM; PRN schedule with flexibility.

Looking for Qualified Interpreters!

We are a growing interpreting service provider looking to onboard hard-working, fully bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Massachusetts area clients.

We have an immediate need for Hmong interpreters in the Boston area.

Requirements:

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and certification REQUIRED
• Proper set up to do video calls as needed
• Simultaneous interpreting experience preferred
• Background checks required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), and needs can be sporadic depending on languages spoken. We offer flexibility based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.
