Job summary

Valle del Sol, a Phoenix-based nonprofit, seeks an experienced HLI Program Manager to lead statewide leadership programs. You will coordinate operations, recruit participants, and develop alumni engagement while building partnerships with schools, businesses, and civic leaders across Arizona.

You will help plan events, coordinate curricula, and track outcomes, reporting to the Director of Leadership. Travel throughout Arizona is required; evening/weekend work may occur.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field as listed.
  • Three years of program management, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, education, or workforce development experience.
  • Experience coordinating events, projects, or community initiatives.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with ability to travel throughout Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Valle del Sol and the Hispanic Leadership Institute throughout Arizona.
  • Track program outcomes, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to strengthen leadership programming and community impact.

We're looking for an experienced, relationship-driven HLI Program Manager to help lead and grow our statewide leadership programs. As the HLI Program Manager, you'll work alongside the Director of Leadership to oversee the planning, coordination, and growth of Valle del Sol's leadership programs.

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Leadership, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in program management, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, education, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating events, projects, or community initiatives.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with the ability to travel regularly throughout Arizona.
Preferred
  • Experience with fundraising, sponsorship development, or grant support.
  • Graduate of a Valle del Sol Hispanic Leadership Institute program.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position may operate in clinical, office, or community settings including clinics, administrative offices, outreach locations, client homes, partner agencies, and community sites. Employees may interact with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, emotional distress, or complex social needs. Standard safety precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required as applicable.

Schedule & Travel

This position requires regular travel throughout Arizona to support leadership programs, community outreach, recruitment activities, meetings, and special events. Evening and weekend work is frequently required based on program schedules and community events.

Equipment

Employees may operate standard office, clinical, and communication equipment including computers, phones, printers, electronic health record systems, laptops, and mobile devices.
