The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. The Bureau of School Health is seeking a full stack developer to develop and support data exchange initiatives with external clinical partners. The development will be from the ground up and the developer will be a member of the MIS team. This role involves collaborating with the project manager, peer developers, database administrator, and data analyst to develop data exchange solutions and will entail monitoring data collection, support program evaluation, and assisting with reporting.
The Office of School Health MIS unit maintains student clinical records in an electronic health record system to support the work of 1,200 school nurses and Asthma case managers in caring for 1M New York Public School Students. As part of the support initiatives, DOHMH is partnering with the Department of Transportation as part of congestion planning, to improve outcomes of students having Asthma. A data exchange system with external clinical systems such as Health and Hospitals and Private NYC hospitals on student Asthma clinical data will improve student care.
