Qualifications

  • Medical School, Internship, Residency completed.
  • Florida Medical License and DEA certificate, Board Certification.
  • Experience and desire to provide HIV patient care required.
  • Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association; computer literacy required.
  • Examination, LAB and Radiological Evaluations; Diagnosis, Consultation, Therapeutic.

Job Description

To provide urgent/emergent care with the knowledge and skill expected in the professional medical community. Provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of patients. Provide emergency screening and stabilization of acute patients. Act as back up for other physicians. Attend in-service and administrative meetings pertinent to the job. Complete charts according to CHI policies. Act as a facilitator between patients and consultants. Provide in-service for other medical staff. Provide pre- employment exams and employee medical evaluations, as needed. Partake in the peer review process. Partake in functions of the Health Professional Staff (HPS). Provide patient services beyond the "visit" by following up on tests. Timely signing of reports for filing. Timely completion of Administrative Forms (insurance, etc.) Supervise Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Midwife/Physician Assistant, when needed. Follow guidelines for provider productivity as established for CHCs in performance measures (4,200 to 6,000 encounters per FTE physician, 2,100 to 3,000 for mid-level practitioners per year). Attends four (4) Grand Rounds each year. Maintains 100% productivity monthly. Provides quality care to patients. Adheres to Confidentiality Policies & Procedures / HIPPA Regulations. Completes billing and encounter (B&E) forms within the same day of intervention. Provides accurate and timely documentation in Patient charts within the same day of intervention. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
