The Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard invites applications for postdoctoral fellow positions in the laboratories of Drs. Xu Yu and Mathias Lichterfeld at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, as well as the Ragon Institute.

Candidates will study HIV-1 pathogenesis, immune defense, and clinical HIV eradication trials, with hands-on experience in next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, and tissue culture. The position requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with a solid background in immunology, virology or cell biology and a strong interest in career development in HIV research are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience completing complex research projects during Ph.D. and significant experience in standard laboratory techniques (RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, flow cytometry, PCR, Western blot, tissue culture) will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execution, and interpretation of experiments; interfaces with collaborators to design experiments, analyze data and present results.
  • Supervises the experiments and data analysis of technicians or students as needed.
  • Prepare scientific presentations and publications.
